The briefing should begin quickly and briskly. There is some urgency to this mission, since a whole team has vanished and the HPD&MC does NOT like that. The team will be told the mission outline, and given this synopsis by agent Buh-B-YEE of the last attempt:

Repeated problems with power and recycling vats in ICK sector had prompted HPD&MC to investigate. A team of 3 technicians was sent, but quickly stopped reporting and power issues made it difficult to figure out what was going on, so a troubleshooter team was sent in. The first team left their briefing, had an uneventful trip to R&D and PLC, and then went on their way. As expected, they lost contact after arriving in ICK sector. The power was flickering, making the cameras an unreliable source of information, so they were powered down in an attempt to conserve what power was on the grid. The team managed a few radio communications through the heavy pipework in the sector, but information was spotty and revealed nothing. Less than 5 minutecycles into ICK, all communication stopped. A few minutecycles later, power dropped to the entire sector. Attempts to repair the power from outside the sector were useless. That was about an hourcycle ago.

The team's mission list is (as stated on the overview page):

1. Determine the cause of the problems in the recycling vats.
2. Determine the cause of the power outage.
3. Find the original team of investigators.
4. Find the team of troubleshooters.
5. A small bot was sent with the troubleshooters from R&D, bring it back.
6. If possible, bring ICK sector back online.

Hopefully, the team will have a few questions about this and that, but Buh-B-YEE will have very little to give. "Above your clearance" and "Not given to me in my report" should be standard answers. Buh-B-YEE, you see, is on clone 6, and is in no way interested in giving out more information than is needed, possibly putting him in line for more treason points. He got this job as punnishment for some treason like activities as it is, and he's going to toe the line for a little while. Attempts at con, bribe, and fast talk should be made at much higher difficulty, and Buh-B-YEE is more than willing to turn in a few bad clones in order to get himself off the $#!+ list. If they do manage to get any more info out of him it'll be one of these:

• The last team is known to have lost several members very quickly.
• The people working in ICK were deemed "unnecessary" and "potential traitors" by the mission leaders of the first attempt.
• Trouble in this sector is very well documented by the guys in HPD&MC, who consider this place "dangerous" and have avoided it for months.
• The bot that got sent with the first team is special... very special to the Computer.
• R&D was told to make some "special" weapons available for the team.
