The LDD667v4 Mini Dozer is a powerful tool for any citizen working in a rubble-strewn environment, whether debris from damaged sectors or rubble left from excavating new areas of Alpha Complex.
The LDD666 was, for some unknown reason, plagued by odd mechanical problems and injuries.
Improvements to the LDD667 include a more powerful engine, higher reach and tilt on the blade and a variable geometry tread system.
Part 1: Mobile Monster
The Mini-Dozer is about the size of a shopping-cart with a handle in the rear, two triangular treads and a forward blade system. The operator controls the dozer using switches mounted on the handle, and has at his command an extraordinary piece of machinery. The engine and treads are capable of producing several tons of forward force, very useful in clearing passage through rubble or debris. The blade is very strong, and can lift and tilt to lift and dump large objects. The controls are simple and direct: turn the handle to move forward, lift and tilt the blades using the lever.
Part 2: Fairly Abuse-Proof
The Dozer is generally indestructable under normal construction and clearing situations. The engine and frame are heavilly reinforced and the treads are very tough. Replacing treads is a simple process given their ability to change shape. Since the dozer's overall forward speed is (at best) a "stroll", attacking anyone who's paying attention would be a useless task. In fact, someone would damn-near need to be tied up to be a realistic target for this monster. Granted, it could shred them into paste in moments, but anyone capable of a brisk walk will far outpace the Dozer.
Part 3: But they'll try
Potential abuse:
- It would be possible to use the dozer in some sort of attack if it's knocking a wall INTO someone or something, but it's pretty loud...
- Any attempt to disassemble the dozer will be difficult. The engine casing is designed to survive large sections of ultracrete and synthsteel falling on top of it. A clone with a hammer or blaster will be useless.
- The open-tread design is a bit dangerous, so if someone accidentally (...) got their arm/leg/head in there, it'll be nicely severed.
- If a clone with the right skills and tools manages to get the engine off, they'll have one hellofa piece of powerful equipment.
