No! MY WORK IS PERFECT! HOW DARE YOU QUESTION MY MASTERPI... (cough) oh, sorry. That inner perfectionist is a defensive bastard.
Yes, absolutely and yes again. I'm sure my spelllling is wrong somewhere, despite a technology safety net and constant, endless reviews.
I can't offer you anything but hearty thanks, or maybe a editorial byline if you're really helpful, but help is most appreciated.
- Why are the sections with [text in brackets]?
Those are notes for me to find and fix. If I'm unsure about something, or just too lazy to describe a scene, I'll throw those in there to remind myself that some bit isn't done yet.
Mostly they're notes to [describe this] because I wanted to get the plot going without stopping to properly imagine all the details of a scene.
- Can I download any/all of this?
Not yet. There are alternate formats, but none are complete.
Also, this whole thing was written using Open Office, so the main documents are in SXI and SXW formats.
Even if you had Open Office, the documents are brutal so you'll have to live with HTML for now.
When Book I is done, I plan to upload a full version of it in various downloadable document formats.
- Is character X based on Y from Star Wars / Lord of the Rings / ETC?
No. At least not intentionally. I watch a lot of stuff. I read tons of stuff. I've read more fantasy books than I care to admit.
Was something in my work inspired by something else? Possibly, but not with any knowledge or malice.
