cross the country, DeMatha Catholic High School is recognized for excellence in academics, music, service and athletics. It is known as a school that takes boys and forms them into gentlemen and scholars. This rich tradition of faith formation and academic excellence derives from outstanding teachers and the core values of The Trinitarians. We have come a long way from DeMatha’s modest start in 1946.
Today, nearly 60 years since its founding, DeMatha is once again expanding its vision. The next five years promise dramatic improvements which will deliver increased funds for faculty compensation thus rewarding outstanding teachers that personify DeMatha’s spirit. The second improvement will be the expansion of facilities for academics and co-curricular activities. This twin commitment, called A Crusade for Tomorrow, will provide students and teachers the tools they need for a 21st century education.
In terms of building, A Crusade for Tomorrow will dramatically improve DeMatha’s facilities. Plans include a 72,000 square foot, multi-use Convocation Center for better and larger academic and athletic areas. The existing McCarthy Activities Center (“The MAC”) will be renovated as the music center. The projected cost of constructing these facilities is $12 million with $4 million to come through gifts and pledges to A Crusade for Tomorrow.
DeMatha has never settled for second
best – not in the classroom,
in music or athletics. We ask for your partnership in advancing the DeMatha
mission, in continuing the school ’s Crusade for Tomorrow.
