Official Rules
and Instructions
The Basics:
-
Flights I, II and III will all play the South Course.
-
Each team has a Captain (*) and team number.
-
Captains are responsible for turning in a legal and legibly signed card,
inside the clubhouse when your round is finished.
-
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in each of the three
flights.
-
All ties will be broken by either progression of most difficult hole in
that respective Flight or by Sudden Death Playoff, as determined by the
Committee.
-
"USGA" & "Royal & Ancient Golf Club of Scotland" rules shall apply.
-
4 Man Scramble Format:
-
Each player shall tee off; Captain will select shot and all players hit
again until holing out.
-
The one club rule relief is in effect. This does not mean mulligan's, a
free lift from hazards, behind trees, traps, et. al.
-
Putt everything out!
The Special Events:
-
Close-to-the-Pin and Long Drive
-
Close-to-the-Pin holes are #7, 9, 14, & 16.
-
Long Drive holes are #3 and 17.
-
Drives must come to rest in fairway.
-
Flight I & II signs; Flight III signs for each event.
-
These are individual awards versus team.
-
Skins are $20.00 per team; Flight I, II and III.
-
Tony "O" Hole-In-One Contest: Joe Paul/Chuck Mills/Tom Gibbons Memorial Contest. The eight golfers who are close to the pin on the par three's
will participate in a shoot-out at # 9 to close the festivities. A Hole-In-One
nets $50,000.00
The Food:
-
Caterer: Mike “Night of the Living Dead ” Mullane, Laneson's Catering- Wolverine
Lk., MI
-
Lunch and Beverages: Lunch will be served around 11 :30 a.m.
and continues throughout the day. Keg of beer and soft drinks are
available inside the clubhouse. Each team win be issued 24 beverage
tickets or 6 apiece to be used on the course for beer or pop from the cart
girls. Please request beverages only in the teeing areas to expedite play.
Additional canned beer or mixed drinks are at your expense. Tip handsomely!

Dinner: Immediately after golf.
The Finale:
-
Raffle & Silent Auction: During and after dinner, we will
a conduct a PRIZE RAFFLE and SILENT AUCTION whose entire proceeds
go to the “Open Door Outreach Center". Raffle
tickets are six for $5.00, twelve for $10.00 and twenty five for $20. Your
support is valued.

Awards: After dinner, nominations will be opened for
the "You Gotta Be Shittin Me," and "You Piss Me Off" awards.
Hacksaw Awards for highest round of the day. Awards Presented by
2001 Committee and Jon "Magpie Sweetlips" Godre, Grand Marshall.
