 Carpenter Bees- A large insect resembling a bumble bee which bores holes in order to nest and lay its eggs. The Carpenter Bee can be destructive to your home but its not a stinging insect. Many infested areas  are hidden, but the presence of a yellow sticky excretion may be visible on the siding. Carpenter Bee entrances may be found behind gutters, shutters, wood trim or ridge boards.
