Avocado Basil Sauce

Another of the many fine summer pasta sauces, one would be tempted to call this one a "pesto-mole", take it along on your next pic-a-nic.

 

1    avocado, cut into chunks

1 c  basil, cut coarsely

   1/4 c  or more, chicken stock
3    garlic cloves, lightly crushed

2 T  lime juice

   1/2 c  olive oil

 

Add all ingredients, but oil, to processor or blender and coarsely puree. With processor running add oil in thin stream slowly. If too thick, add broth by the tablespoon.

Combine sauce with "chunky" pasta (eg. penne rather than spaghetti).
