Just one of the many steps in Sean's service project involved transporting a "lot" of bricks to the work site. Sean and his crew survey the site of the future walkway before digging the trench. After a hard days work, the tools are carefully cleaned off. The group takes a moment to pose for the camera.

In the cold of January, Troop 321 teamed with Pack 321 Webelos to cross a dangerouse cravasse. The intrepid team learns the fules of the barrel crossing trial. Soon they will work together to move the barrells beneath the raft and cross the raging river. Of course, between each station, the scount had to drag a sled over somtimes dry ground.

On 2 Feb 2008, Jean-Luc's Eagle Court of Honor began with an invocation. Many area scouters, friends and relatives joined the celebration held at Church of the Ascension, Westminster, MD. Amongst the many presentations that went along with earning his Eagle rank, Carroll District representatives presented Jean-Luc with a plaque. After the ceremony, a few troop members expressed their well wishes with a group (bear) hug. During a memorable reception, Jean-Luc and other members of Troop 321 took time to pose for this picture.

A large court requires a lot of timber and mulch. As well as some scouts to put it in the right place. A completed project and a job well done!

Service Project in action
On a windy day, the scouts established a tent city in the midst of the picturesque dunes. The weekend included an opportunity to participate in a National Park Conservation project. The wind was not exactly helping the effort... At one point the wind was actually bearable.

No campout would be complete without a fire. Two scouts prepare a small firepit for the evenings blaze. Regardless the wind, there was an opportunity to get feet wet. Finally, the scouts packed up and returned home.

Camporee trophy
On a sunny day, Troop 321 met for a Court of Honor. Sisters of many of the scouts await an opportunity to cheer for their brothers. The Carroll District Commissioner present the trophy from the District Camporee (May 2006) to the SPL.

On a dark and dreary day, the scouts set sail (or paddle) down the mighty Pocomoke River. The sun came out briefly while the scout fleet waited for the bridge to open. At that evenings campfire, some people received praise for their well toasted marshmallows...

....while others chose to dry out their shoes. Eventually, even the scoutmaster thought dry shoes might be a good idea. Even after some rugged paddling, the scouts had enough energy to join in a rousing chorus of that old campfire favorite -- Timewarp.

Intrepid campers pose after pitching their tents near the battlefield. For breakfast they took turns with three breakfast irons making "Pudgy Pies" Scouts wait for their "Turtles" to finish cooking so they can eat. The adult leaders had beef stew cooking in the dutch oven.
