2003 - 2004 Distinguished Club Plan Results - Select Distinguished

The West Hartford Toastmasters Club finished the 2003-2004 Distinguished Club Plan Year as a Select Distinguished Toastmasters Club; completing 7 out of 10 goals ( two CTMs, two CLs, 11 new members, club officer training, per capita payments & club officer list submitted on time.) as set forth by Toastmasters International. The West Hartford Toastmasters will receive a red ribbon for the club banner from TI WHQ and be recognized as a Select Distinguished Club.

Congratulations are extended to Dave Louden and Jane Philion for earning their Competent Toastmaster Award (CTM). The CTM recognizes the completion of 10 speech projects in the Basic Communications and Leadership manual. In addition, Michael Aron and Jane Philion received their Competent Leader Award.

WHTM Participates in West Hartford's Sesquicentennial

The Day of Living History, a major event in the month-long celebration of the Town of West Hartford's Sesquicentennial, took place on the grounds of town hall from11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 22, 2004. More than 50 schools and community organizations took part in a wide range of activities highlighting their history as well as the day-to-day life of the town over the past 150 years. The West Hartford Toastmasters Club #3523 had a display booth, designed by VPPR Michael Aron, CTM and staffed by WHTM Toastmasters, Judy Aron, VPM Jane Philion, President Karen Vincent, Dane Silcox, Jerry Bloom, Mike Daigle, and Fran Byrne Neill.
