The Mustang II is an amateur built "Experimental Aircraft". Under parts of the United Stated Code of Federal Regulations defined by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) all amateur built aircraft must be certified as "Experimental" unless they meet Part 103 for Ultralights.
These "Home Built" aircraft are almost a tradition in the US as the Wright Brothers are often viewed as the first amateur builders. For 50 years we have had the Experimental Aviation Association to support and represent the amateur builders in the US and often in other parts of the world.
This particular "Artists Rendering" is a first attempt by the alleged artist {me} to get a blue and gold theme going for the Mustang II I am building. Please consider it an early stage "work in progress". By the time I actually get a plane flying, maybe I will be able to get Gimp to do what I want it to. Of course, then I can simply take a photo of the real thing...
