On September 22nd 1962, A small house in Sauk Village was the scene of a horrible crime. The murder of Mary Utter.
It was a gloomy morning on that fateful day, when Mary heard a knock on her frontroom door. Little did she know that behind that door was a man with a dark purpose, and that she had but a few precious moments in which to live.
A far too trusting Mary opens her door, and in so doing, invites her doom.
As the final chapter closes on Mary's life, the killer escapes, seemingly into oblivion. A man hunt ensues, but without results, and the bloody deed remains unsolved to this day.
