Hello, my name is Sophia Abee O"Blue but my friends call me Sophie. I am a red merle Australian Shepherd with a blue right eye and an amber left one and I was born on August 31, 2000.
My father is Sholley's Au Ruffles O'Blue and my mother is Sholley's Lady Abee O'Muncee. My grandpa on my dad's side is Hostetter's Dutch Buck and my grandma on that side is Ross-Mars Hostetter's Dixie. On my mom's side of the family my grandpa is Nulton's Red Irish Gusto and my grandma is Nulton's Lil Miss Maggie. My daddy thinks he has all these names spelled right but he is going to check with the breeder to make sure.
I live in a nice house with five cats. Muchie never comes out except for treats and Ziggy has two room all to herself. I spend some time with Ziggy but she has her own ladder and usually stays on it when I'm around. I like to herd the other cat when I can get away with it.
I have complete both the Basic and Advanced Basic Obedience Training at Dauphin Dog Training Club . I liked the obedience classes but I got bored after about 25 minutes. I took the pre-agility this past fall(2002). I did Ok but I have to do it again. I guess we didn't work hard enough.
My dad bought a jeep wrangler this past summer(2001) and I helped him pick it out. I let him harness me on the back seat cause I really like to ride in it with the top down. It's not near as much fun in the winter with the hard top on.

They say aussies are smart. My dad found this on the alt.pets.dogs.aussies newgroup, whatever that is. It was in response to a post about "About to get new aussie pup" and putting in a electric fence:
RE: Electronic fencing. I had a neighbor once who had it on his property. His dog used to sit close enough to hear the warning beep. He'd sit there for hours letting that tone sound. As soon as it stopped...he'd go explore the neighborhood and return before his owners got home. It took them a good month or two before they realized what was happening. They had no clue why they were going through batteries so quickly. Aussies are smart....might have to watch for something like that.
