FUN & GAMES |

| Welcome to our "Fun & Games" page. We have been running agility with our friends at "A Little Black Dog" daycare for a few years now. We go to class there and also go to competitions with them. Mom says it keeps us all in good condition. I run with the under 16" dogs, being just a hair under. | ![]() |

Duffy started agility very soon after he arrived from Texas. He is VERY fast and loves to play on all the equipment. Sometimes his brain just says "RUN!!!!" and he takes a few minutes to go nutty, but then he gets down to business. Because he is 1/2" over 16" tall, he has to compete with the border collies in competition. This doesn't seem to be a problem so far! |

I think Duncan does it just to make Mom happy.

| Most people have swingsets in their backyards, we have this. We made all of our agility equipment (except the tunnel) from directions off of the internet and inexpensive PVC and plumbing supplies. It was very easy and fun to do. | |

This is Shaquille and his Mom Deanna. Shaq is THE little black dog that the daycare is named for. He is an 11 year-old poodle and has won several ribbons this year in his height class. It just proves that you can teach an old dog new tricks! |

The crew at a North Hampton meet, May 2002. This was Duffy's first competitive weekend and we ran both Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, Duffy's first ever race was held during a freak May blizzard. It's a good thing that not much phases this dog! Sunday dawned bright and sunny, though still a bit windy and chilly. Kelly (far right) is one of the boys trainers. She and her dog Skye won many ribbons that day. |

Dad and I ran in my first competition in Keene, NH in the fall of 2001. We participated in a pairs race with Cephyr the Bassett Hound. We really didn't hold out much hope for any kind of ribbon, but we took third place!!!! I never knew Bassett Hounds could run and jump so well! Mom and Dad were so proud of me, we could have packed up and gone right home. I guess it would have been a very good idea, since in my last race I made it over three jumps, stopped and looked for mom outside of the ring, ran out of the ring, around a crowd of people, right to where Duffy and mom were sitting and jumped into her waiting lap. The crowd, judge and Dad all were laughing, but I didn't think it was so funny. I was tired and just wanted to go home. Mom runs me this year and Dad runs Duffy. She tells me at the start of every race that I just have to go as far as I want and then I can leave. I like knowing that it's all for fun. |
