On To Elysium
By Jurgen v. Bayer
Worry not for me, when I’m gone.
I look forward to seeing the Ferryman
Regrettably, there will be no one
To place a gold coin on my eyes
For Charon,
So I can cross the Styx
There will be no one
To light my funeral bier
So that my ashes may reach
Elysium
Forever to wander the world
Neither alive nor at rest
For as long as it pleases
The immortal Gods
Until, they call me home to
Elysium
Pollus Athene, hear my call
With obedience I have served
The Gods of Mt. Olympus
Ask father Zeus for lightning
To set my bier on fire
So that I can rest forever in
Elysium
