| Cloud drift hypers use the movement of the clouds to provide the stereo base. If cluds are moving from left to right the right photo is taken first, and the second shot captures the left hand side of the same cloud. If a landscpe hyper is taken at the same time the clouds can be made to appear in front of hills that they are actually behind. The movement of the clouds need to be perpendicular to the axis of the images and the clouds need to be free of rapid turbulent flow. Cloud's shadows should also be excluded when possible. The photo looks towards Yosemite across California's Ventral Valley in mid April 2005. The hills are in Morgan Territory Regional wilderness. |
