Fluff!

This is some minor modification and update stuff that isn't really deserving of it's own page.

Tinting

The temporary foamboard cutout I put around the monitor looked a little bit garish, and the monitor was a little bit too bright from so close up. To hide the monitor mask, cut down the brightness and enhance the overall "black" theme of the cab, I decided to try some auto tint. I was afraid of going too dark, and used 35% for this first test. It looks much better, and could still stand to be a little darker. I have 20% tint here (lower percentage is darker for tint), and I'll redo the bezel in the future.

This little modification was very quick and easy to do. Just make sure your glass is completely clean, keep the glass wet with a mix of water and a couple drops of dishwashing detergent in a spray bottle, and slowly squeegee the air out from corner to corner.

The difference is subtle, but noticable if you're standing in front of the machine. These images are also from before I installed the Happ trackball, which is why the ball frame is grey rather than black.
