RAISING THE REGIMENT |

| In July of 1862 Governor Andrew Curtin agreed that a Second Brigade of Bucktailed sharpshooters should be raised in support of the war effort. The secretary of war duly authorized Colonel Roy Stone to immediately proceed with raising four more regiments. | ||||||||||||||||||||
