New Allowances for the Leave Book

Since management has reconfigured the workforce at the SJ P&DC, the number of people allowed to take annual leave has been affected.

These charts (Click Here) show the number of mail handlers working on each day of the work and the number that management must allow off as per the Local Memorandum of Understanding.

Both the old and new allowances are shown. The new allowances go into effect on August 1, 2009.

The time that management must allow 13% of all mail handlers to be off runs from the Saturday before Memorial Day through the last full week of October. Management must allow 8% of the mail handlers to be off from the first full week of April through the Friday before Memorial Day and from the first week of November through the last full week of November.
