Management Reschedules Another Labor-Management Meeting

For the second month in a row, management has made itself unavailable for a Labor-Management Meeting. The last meeting was held on March 23. Management cancelled the Labor-Management Meeting in April and the one that was set for Monday, May 18. That meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, June 1.

Despite our requests, management is refusing to meet with the union even though it knows that its proposed changes to our work schedules will affect each of our lives and that a great deal of anxiety exists over these changes and the uncertainties we face.

Additionally, the union is still waiting for the information it officially requested weeks ago regarding the methodology employed by the Service when it identified the need to abolish all bid jobs.

The union continues to work with its regional and national representatives to ensure that any changes made by management have the least impact as possible on mail handlers.
