COLTS 29 BEARS 17

Congratulations to the Indianapolis Colts who finally pulled off the big win as they defeated the Chicago Bears 29-17 to win Super Bowl XVI. The Colts fell behind early as Devin Hester became the first person in Super Bowl history to return the opening kickoff for a touchdown. But the Colts responded well and after falling further behind by a 14-6 count, they fought back to take a 16-14 lead at halftime.

The second half was all Colts as a rejuvenated defense held the Bears to a lone field goal and even scored a touchdown themselves as a Kelvin Hayden 56 yard interception return sealed the victory in the fourth quarter.

Peyton Manning completed 25 of 38 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown and was named the Most Valauble Player for his effort. Dominic Rhodes rushed 21 times for 113 yards and Joseph Addai rushed 19 times for 77 yards and also caught 10 passes for 66 yards.

Once again, congratulations to the entire organization and to the city of Indianapolis on a great Super Bowl victory!
