Fellow Tar Heel fans, after a decade long run, it is with heavy heart that I must announce the closing of Tony's Tar Heel page. It has been my complete pleasure and privilege to serve you over this time and I truly hate that this decision had to be made. While many of you will demand answers, the truth of the matter is that there is no single reason for this decision, but rather a number of reasons. Many of these reasons are personal and I choose not to disclose them and I hope you will understand and respect that decision. Other contributing factors include the fact that I will soon be changing internet service providers. I recently went through one change when Comcast bought Adelphia and it is a great deal of trouble moving everything over to a new site. Also, my new internet service provider charges a monthly fee for web hosting which I am unwilling to pay. These factors, combined with the personal issues, led me to reach the conclusion that it's time to pull the plug. I can't begin to tell you how much it has meant to me to form friendships with so many of you over the years. We all share that common bond that only Tar Heel Basketball can manifest and we're so lucky to be part of such a wonderful, caring network of friends and fans, all pulling for the greatest program in the history of college basketball. There is so much I will miss concerning the site but hopefully I can stay in contact with as many of you as possible. God bless each and every one of you and I thank you so much for your support over the years. The future is certainly bright for the Tar Heels and 2007-08 is shaping up to be a very special season. Let us continue to give these youngsters the support they deserve as they seek to bring home yet another National Championship next season! |
