Who or what is a "Fluffy", anyhow?

What is a Fluffy? And what makes him special enough to have his own page on my web site?

Answer: Well, in case you couldn't tell from the pictures, Fluffy C. Rabbit, or just Fluffy to his friends, happens to be a rabbit--a genuine, toon carousel jack rabbit (yes, technically he's a hare--let's not get technical) who currently lives with me, Slappy and Skippy Squirrel.

I made this page about Fluffy to give people a place to find out more about him.

About Fluffy...

Fluffy is a living, breathing, toon carousel animal, a rare but no unheard of thing in the cartoon world. Fluffy came to live with me back in 1999 when the carousel he worked on closed down and I brought him home (okay, if you want to get technical, it was he who brought me home--on his back). He isn't my pet though. He roams about freely but has chosen to be a part of my family.

On all fours, Fluffy stands about 3 foot tall to the top of his head. He is smaller than most carousel animals, but is quite a sturdy and well-built animal and can carry an average-sized toon on his back with no difficulty. His fur is white with a slight gray tinge to it. He enjoys being around children and is quite a gentle fellow despite his strong mindedness on who he lets ride him (he absolutely will not let another rabbit ride him) and a definite streak of smugness that seems to have emerged from him since his carousel days.

He's also become a very spirited and playful animal around those he knows... sometimes a little too playful (see main page)... which is why I sometimes wear spurs when we go riding. I am the only one he allows this with, however.

In case you are wondering, yes Fluffy is fluffy :-) And no, I did not name him that--his mother did, and if you want to make fun of his name I suggest you do it from a great distance.

Stories featuring Fluffy

I have written several fan fictions featuring my carousel rabbit friend that tell more about his history and what he's been doing since he came to live with me. These stories can be found on my fan fiction page by clicking the link above.

Fluffy Art

Fluffy's features are very close to those of a regular jack rabbit.

Fluffy has a distinctive 'toony rabbit look with long ears, big soft paws and a smug, self-assured smirk. His carousel trappings are relatively simple compared to some carousel animals, consisting of a blue saddle with gold trim, a collar, a red and gold satin blanket, and a red ribbon tied to the right side of his saddle. He also has a matching blue bridle with reins and gold fastenings which he occasionally wears.

All of these pictures of Fluffy found on this page were drawn by me, and I am rather proud of them and my abilities, therefor I would ask that you respect my rights, as well as Fluffy's, and not use or steal my art without permission.

Fluffy napping. Don't wake him up!
Fluffy looking smug as usual

Fluffy in full run (off to raid my garden probably)

Fluffy sitting. You can almost hear him saying, "Excuse me?" in a smug way.

...And here are some pictures of Fluffy and me done by Susan Goodwin (she has sort-of an Anime style):

Nice Fluffy... giddyup!

Whoa, boy!

Had enough?

A friendship beyond words
