The Hardison Hive is the result of 26 years of research and adaptation. The original idea of a frameless movable comb beehive came from Kenya Africa in the 1960's. From there it spread to the United States through the efforts of the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. The American Bee Journal published an article in 1980 that described the Kenya Hive. That hive was the starting point for the Hardison Hive.
