To better understand the Portuguese, we need to study their history from prehistoric times to the present. Because time does not permit an in-depth study, we will take a look at the most important events only.

I have organized these events into six main categories: Early History, First Dynasty, Second Dynasty, Third Dynasty, Fourth Dynasty, and Recent History.
