Welcome to 12th Annual Teddy Bear Parade! We have a few pointers for you to remember while in the parade. Please do your best to support this fun day by observing the following:

  • Please TOSS candy gently into the crowd. Do Not Throw Candy!
  • All entries with tow vehicles and/or animals must provide a copy of their in-force liability insurance with the application form.
  • Parents - pre-arrange a meeting place with your child if you are separated.
  • Children under the age of 10, please bring a parent or guardian along. This is IMPORTANT, so don't forget.
  • If you're wearing clothing (e.g., T-shirts) with a message on it, please make sure it's appropriate and inoffensive.
  • All entries with animals MUST provide their own "Pooper Scoopers" during the staging and the parade.
  • Alcohol and Drug Consumption are NOT permitted and individuals acting under the influence, will be asked to leave the parade.

In order to accommodate horse trailers, preparation time and rider safety, there are several guidelines.

  • You will be able to drive into the parking lot near Clackamette Park. (Ramp between OC Shopping Center and Clackamette Dr.) Please make sure that you arrive early, so you have time to organize your group and prepare your entry for the parade. Entries need to be ready to head for staging are by 9:00 a.m.
  • Vehicle escorts will act as pilot cars for equestrian entries, guiding them to the regular staging area for horses (Near section A). The escorts will leave parking area at 9:00 AM.
  • Each entry, whether individual or group, must provide a “pooper scooper” at both staging areas, as well as along the entire parade route. This helps us keep our costs down with City Maintenance Fees.
  • Near the end of the parade volunteers will divert you back into your initial staging area, so you may re-trailer your horses.
  • As per the application, we request that a copy of your liability insurance is provided at the time of registration at least one week prior to the parade.

Thank you so much for your participation. We find that our equestrian entries are some of our most enthusiastic participants.
