In 1993 my wife and I became interested in garden ponds when we saw a selection of small fiberglass formed ponds in a Garden Center, and decided that a pond would be a nice addition to our back yard. We had an area beside our patio off the rear of our house, beside our patio, that was difficult to maintain since the ground in that area sloped upward. Adding a pond to this area was the perfect solution. Thats when we embarked on a project that has continued over the last five year. The enjoyment we get from the pond and the fish we have placed in it make it all worth while and I would recommend pond ownership highly.

As you continue on you will be able to see the pond as it changed from the first year as a 2' by 6' pond that was only 24"deep to the present pond pictured above that is roughly 14' by 24' with a depth of 4' at the deepest point and slopes up to 12" at the other end. This year I will be adding pictures of the pond that will include to cedar deck we built where the original patio was, (the perfect addition) now we have a view from our deck overlooking the pond that is very enjoyable.
