The Magic of 34

The 2006 Twins season has been magical, thanks to the memory and honor of Kirby Puckett.

Here are some interesting facts about the magic of #34
  • Twins have worn 34 on their right sleeves all season.
  • Twins put together a seven-game winning streak to get to the record of 34-34.
  • Stadium bill cleared the state Senate, with 34 votes in favor and 32 against.
  • Hennepin County commissioners voted 4-3 to start spending money for the new ballpark, reversing Kirby's magic number.
  • When Radke took the mound on Sep 28, it was a 34 day layoff after he was injured on Aug 25 in Chicago.

Playoffs!!!

The Twins clinched a playoff spot tonight with an 8-1 win over KC and a Sox loss to the Indians. Don't look now, but they are one of the hottest teams coming in and hope to get past the first round this year. I can't wait for some good October baseball.

Consuming Flickr RSS feed using ColdFusion MX

The following code will make a http request for a Flickr RSS feed, and output the results. You may want to cfdump the XMLContent variable to see what other values you can use from the feed. Enjoy...

Sunroofs Etc. moved

I am the 2nd owner of a 97 Honda CRV, with a 3rd party sunroof. The sunroof isn't working, so I am hoping to get it looked at. In the glove box I found the warranty card for the sunroof, and the company who installed it was Sunroofs Etc in Bloomington. On the back of the card, their info is listed as:

Sunroofs Etc.
230 W. 79th St.
Bloomington, MN 55420
612-888-3833

So I called the number, but the line has been disconnected. A few days later, I did a Google search, and found they are still in business, they moved to Golden Valley. Turns out, the new Best Buy headquarters forced them to move. Their new info is:

Sunroofs Etc.
7107 Medicine Lake Rd.
Golden Valley, MN 55427
763-544-9999

Hope this helps any future sunroof owner track down this company for repair work!
