Dave's Triumphs

I currently have 5 Triumphs. The first
(in recent times - August 2003) was a 1974 TR6 Carmine Red with
New Tan interior.
We call her 6-1. We have had a good time with this
car. Been from Maryland and to Watkins Glen twice. The OD
makes it nice on the interstates around here. We also
especially enjoy the CPTC driving events and the Triumph roads of
central PA.

I then got a 1976 Spitfire as the successful
bidder on eBay

Then another 1974 TR6 in the fall of 2004 -
again Carmine Red with new tan interior. I had to wait to get it
home till the garage was ready ( at least the concrete floor was
cured).
See the above photos - the cars are almost identical except for
the AC and the overdrive on 6-1. They were built
about 1 month apart in early 1974.
The next was a car I originally wanted - an
early round-tail Spitfire. I got this at the 2005 Carlisle Spring
Import car show. Although I call it my 3 year project, most
of the body panels have been replaced and are new. Now where do
all those parts go? And, yes, this is a Spit/6 conversion.

The most recent is a 1980 Spitfire October of
2005. Although I wasn't really interested in a rubber bumpered
Spit, with the overdrive and the hard top I couldn't pass it up.
This is my driver while the TR6-1 gets refitted. I have having a
lot of fun driving it to work among the $30k imports that either
think they are going to get ahead of me or are totally unaware
that they are even driving. That's the scary part. Most are
too busy on the phone and have no idea which lane they are in or
when they are turning.
