IT'S IN!!! The baskets were installed April 10, 2005. As of July 3, 2005, bricks are now at the tee line, with hole number and par indicated. There are a couple of things still to be done to the baskets, but the course is playable!Stay tuned, or email from the link below, for updates. The course is in the Ste Genevieve City Park (Pere Marquette Park), which is on North 4th Street. From I-55, exit 150 eastbound (MO 32) Highway 32 becomes 4th Street. Stay on 4th all the way through the city to the park, make a Right turn at the park entrance. #1 tee is at the first pavillion on the left, just across from the Riverview Manor Nursing Home. This course is challenging due to hills, hills, and more hills. The baskets were made by a local welder, with an innovative design. The only real walk between basket and tee is from #5 to #6, which requires crossing the street and walking behind the swimming pool. This picture (from the USGS and harvested from www.terraserver-usa.com) shows the course from a bird's eye view. BEWARE: The bottom of the valley of #1 and #2 can become a small pond, or it may be perfectly dry. The water along #4 is generally well removed from the fairway, but it also can be higher after a rain.Stay tuned for more developments, as the signage is added, further improvements and enhancements added, and events begin to happen! Course design by Steve Hoog(#21177) and Mark Arnold(#15655). Jay Roth was instrumental in the installation process, and has continued doing great work. Special thanks for help in planning and installing this course to Stan Winkler, Mike Weiler, Barbara Basler, Carl Okenfuss, the Park Board, the Park Department, and the City of Ste Genevieve. A quick suggestion: Unless you have a great memory, print this page to help navigate the course. Better signage is coming, but not immediately.

For more information on the sport of Disc Golf, check out the PDGA website. There are 2 primary mottos embraced by disc golfers: "Most Fun Wins" and "Leave the Course Cleaner Than You Found It." Skill is fine, but Fun is even more important. Please help keep Pere Marquette Park clean by putting trash, cigarette butts, etc, in proper disposal containers. Email us with any questions about the Pere Marquette Park course, rules, equipment, or anything to do with the game of Disc Golf.

PLEASE BE ALERT TO OTHERS USING THE PARK, ESPECIALLY THE WALKING TRAIL!! As with "ball golf", if your shot is going near another person, be sure to yell to them. "Fore" is better than "Heads Up!", you don't want the person to be hit while looking up. (The voice of experience...) "Pro" par, used in PDGA tournaments and by most experienced players, is 3 for every hole. The pars listed are "public" par, for less experienced players. MOST FUN WINS!
