Webspace Portfolio
The sites you see below are some of my best and most-recent works. Of course there are others out there, but these should give you an idea of what I'm up to.
The PSU EcoWiki
This is my latest creation, completed in July 2008. The PSU Facilities & Planning Sustainability Office want to migrate their old static site to a community-based development project, much like a traditional wiki. The site owners issue user accounts that allow their community to log into a front-end what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) editor for content generation.
This is a MySQL database-driven content-management solution built upon the open-source Joomla! 1.5 framework. The build includes the Fireboard Forum, and an EventList and calendar from Shlu.net. The site is under constant development, in the spirit of a true Wiki. Visit the EcoWiki...

PSU Transportation & Parking Services (TAPS)
I am the webmaster for PSU Transportation & Parking Services. This site is probably the workhorse of all the sites you see here; my products have been in service for TAPS since 2005. You can see the site that was in service from 2005 through 2008 here. That site was primarily static and text-based. It started to feel a bit dated, so we went all out for the new rediesign, completed in November 2008.
The current site is a Drupal 6 build, including a online citation-payment system (PHP/Oracle), and a real-time TransitBoard built in conjunction with Portland Transport. We also migrated the citation-petition process to completely online and paperless. There are a few custom Drupal modules that were developed that included jQuery and AJAX solutions. Visit TAPS...

PSU Writing Center
I've been with Writing Studies and have been the webmaster for The Writing Center since 2003. This is the fourth redesign since I've been around, completed in September 2008. The Writing Center itself has been managed by four different people during that time, and they all have very different ideas about what The Center should be in cyberspace.
In any case, this latest iteration is primarily static, developend with XHTML, CSS, and some AJAX-inspired trickery in the Writing Resources section of the website. The Center is currently seeking funding to further develop the resources system. For now, the staff has been trained on Dreamweaver for site and content maintenace. Visit The Writing Center...

PSU Campus Events & Guest Services (CEGS)
I am also the webmaster for PSU Campus Events & Guest Services. This build is largely static, but includes interactive flash maps/floor plans for exploration of event and hotel space, slideshows, and an online event scheduling system built upon an open-source PHP framework (Zebra).
The site is a textbook example of the PSU Identity Standards, with a few subtle tweaks. The departement wanted do it by the book, so there's not much fanciness involved. The functionality was the focus, and it ended up very robust. Visit CEGS...

The PSU Bicycle Cooperative
The PSU Bikeshop's site was completed in January 2008, again after some screw-tightening on the PSU Identity elements. It serves as the main portal for the ever-strengthening cycling community at PSU. This one is nothing fancy: strictly static content in a clean content-appropriate interface.
The budget for the Bikeshop is almost nothing, so I built the interface, generated an integrated template set for Dreamweaver, and trained their in-house maintainer to use them. They've done a respectable job of keeping it together. Visit The PSU Bicycle Cooperative...

The PSU Challenge/LINK Program
The Challenge/LINK Program is a High-School outreach program. It had no site previous to this design, and was completed August 2007. The client wanted to both comply with the university's Identity Standards and keep an attractive, youthful look and feel.
Again, strictly-static content. I performed the initial design and web space set-up, and the client took over maintenance. Visit Challenge/LINK...

Upcoming Projects
Currently on-deck is the Box Office event calendar. Their current site has no such feature, so we expect an interesting adventure into the depths of MySQL and PHP. If you like what you see, drop me a line at treeweaver@comcast.net to discuss your solution. Good day.
