Tom Marolda / Dash Weaver

The cover of Tom Marold's 1979 album "The Toms"

Tom Marolda helped a lot of local musicians attain their dream of recording their music in a professional environment at his Songgram Studios in Mercerville.

But besides being a producer and engineer, he is a very talented writer and musician. He released his home grown records on his own Black Sheep Records. He would play nearly all of the instruments himself and sing all the vocal tracks.

He has written and performed with Bruce Foster, Richie Sambora, Frank Stallone, Paul Plumeri and Ernie White just to name a few.

The Tom!

This pic is from 1982 when he was chosen as a performer and the producer of the WPST Unsigned Heros album.

I think he was also responsible for coming up with the name for Hamilton Township's mascot: Seymour Beaver!

In 1981 Tom Marolda collaborated with Paul Plumeri and put out an excellent album called Tom Foolery.

This album was produced by Tom Marolda who also wrote 9 of the record's 10 songs.

Reice Altomare collaborated with Tom Marolda and brought many of  Tom's great songs to live audiences through his perfomances with Reice And The Weekend Band and later through Dash Weaver.

One Sunday afternoon in June of 1979, they put together a band to showcase Tom's songs to a bunch of record company executives at Brothers Saloon.

l to r: Wilbo Wright, Steve Bross, Reice Altomare & Tony Vegas.
I'm not sure who the drummer is.

Here's a little piece of trivia, if you ever see the Bon Jovi episode of VH1's Behind The Music, there is a short clip of the early John Bongiovi Band
performing on the Uncle Floyd Show, that's Danny Sky on the right playing bass in John's Band.
