Jeff Guenther

My thanks go out to Jeff for sending me use these pics from his scrapbook!

Heaven's Sundae (1968)

l to r: David Boggess: lead vocals, organ
Larry Boggess: lead vocals, drums (one of our strong points...a 13 yr old kick-ass drummer!)
Peter Bremy: lead vocals, bass
Jeff Guenther: lead guitar (high school nickname: Jeffrey Hendrix)
Ed Walker: rhythm guitar

Some comments from Jeff: "Peter, Ed and I performed together for quite a few years, growing up on the same street. Dave and Larry, as you may have guessed, are brothers. We answered an ad for guys looking to put a band together in Pequannock, NJ. We auditioned. One of the three wasn't wanted, but we stood our ground. Our first gig actually had a front man, I believe Scott Sumner was his name. He didn't last.
Heaven's Sundae was very anti-top 40 / am radio. For example, we were learning "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", the tune shows up on WABC am, poof! Right of the songlist. The only exceptions were our arrangements of popular tunes."

Heaven's Sundae (1968)

Although he wasn't a native Trentonian, Jeff was surely one of the local music scene's favorite adopted sons! He was Wind band mate Sam Masiello's roommate while they were attending the Berkeley College of Music in Boston. They began recording demos of their original songs as "Fish & Chips" and later added the vocals and bass of Ernie White to evolve into Wind ( the name was taken from one of  Jeff''s songs entitled "Wind"! ).

Following the retirement of Wind. Jeff soon replaced Richie Sambora as guitarist of The Next, and later reunited with Sam Masiello to form a group called "????" with B.G. Gibson. He also was in Bobby Lenti's Blue Eyes and a long list of other bands!

Wind held a pre-release listening party in October 1977 when they put out their single
"A Good Man's Hard To Find  b/w  Class Reunion"
On the left is Jeff's copy of the band's set list from that night,
and on the right is the exclusive invitation.

(I won a copy of the Wind 45 answering a rock & roll trivia question at this show!)

He was the #1 choice to replace Richie Sambora when he left.

Jeff and Tim Rudolph

This was a Steve Mosley and Friends Show at Trenton State College's Radiothon, Feb. 1980.
The band included Steve Mosley out front on guitar and vocals, Jeff on bass,
Tim Rudolph on percussion, Sam Massiello on drums and Richie Sambora on guitar.

If I remember correctly, I was at this show and they opened for Beaver Brown.
