Nobody
Special was a fun band that spawned 2 other very
good bands when they split up, Joe Tobias, Steve Bross |

floor, it would light up on nights when the DJ was
spinning records |

![]() This is a re-creation of a Scat bumper sticker. I always thought it would be cool to stick one of these to the back of a Hamilton Township Police car, and snap a picture of it to use in their newspaper ads. |

![]() Scat l to r: Mike Karluk, Steve Bross, Joe Tobias, Tom "Obie" O'Brien, Steve McDonough and Gary Woods (arm). Live at Brothers 1978 I used to go see these guys every Thursday night in the summer of 1978 after I graduated from High School. They were always a lot of fun. They would play everything from Tossin' and Turnin' to White Punks On Dope! The dance floor would always be jammed and people always seemed to have fun with them. Besides, what other band played The Time Warp from The Rocky Horror Picture Show? |

DeStefano,
Joe Hosey The Shades were the area's premier new wave band. They did cool covers of Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe and 60's garage band rock, but they also had GREAT original material. They were courted by a few major record labels, but were never able to take advantage of the "Big Break". I introduced them a few times at Brothers. My best line was "Okay kids, it's time to take off those cheap sunglasses and put on the Shades". (yeah, yeah I know!) |
![]() Scottland Scott Evans of The Shades recorded a single with his band Scottland. An instant holiday classic, Credit Card Christmas.
