The Scrapbook

Here's a bunch of other stuff!

Johnny DeGeorge & The Electronic Frequency (1971?)

back row from left: Nick Tuccillo, John DeGeorge, Me,
in front: Nick Levine

I was 11 or so at the time. I think we broke up 10 minutes after this pic was taken, and then formed a football team!

We got our name from this guy named Doug Soltesz who was in a band called The Kids Today or something close to that. They used to block off Washington Street just off  Roebling Ave and play concerts for the neighborhood. They were a 4 piece band kinda modeled after the Young Rascals. I think they recorded a 45 . (If anyone knows anything about them let me know!)

The uncle I never knew...Billy K.

Paul Plumeri recently told me of the time he saw a 12 or 13 year old Kenny Chick sit in with The Buddy Rich Orchestra at the Columbus Lounge.

The Chit Chat was always Jumping!
(looks like poor Barbie Doll had a long day!)

I gotta find an ad from when the legendary terpsichorean
"Queen Trinket" would entertain at the Chit Chat.

Muggles!
Go ahead..try to say it without laughing!

Wow! the Hi Tones and Marge on the same night!
Things were happening back in 1966!

Carnegie Hall was always packed and always had some great bands from North Jersey. Flossie, Max, Courtney, Sticky Fingers, Backstreets, Phantom's Opera, The Gashouse Gang, The Uncle Jimmy-Who Show

They would have .50 cent drinks until 11pm on Thursdays. Guess what time my $20. was gone by! I had many rough Fridays back then.

More To Come!
