Trista Chen is a Senior Research Scientist at FX Palo Alto Laboratory (FXPAL). Her research interests include body tracking, computer vision, media services, and mixed reality. Prior to joining FXPAL, she was a Research Scientist at Intel Corporation and an Architect at Nvidia Corporation respectively. At Intel, she conducted research on computer-vision workload based architecture design. Her work was honored by Intel Microprocessor Technology Labs Recognition Award. At Nvidia, she designed and brought out Nvidia¡¦s NV4x video processor, the first dedicated video processor in GPU. Trista received her Ph.D. degree from Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.; and both the M.S. and B.S. degrees from National Tsing-Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. She is a member of the IEEE and ACM. She has authored dozens of peer reviewed papers and granted several patents in computer vision and multimedia signal processing, and has served as session chair, program committee member and reviewer for IEEE and ACM conferences.
