AUG 8-10 CAMP HOUK, US COASTGUARD, CAPE MAY, NJ - - - SEP 5 FIRST MEETING - - - SEP 14 ORIENTEERING DAYTRIP - - - OCT 17-19 C.O.P.E. WEEKEND AT CAMP OCKANICKON

Troop 240 is a non-denominational Boy Scout Troop based at St. Vincent de Paul Church since 1973 in Richboro, Bucks County Pennsylvania. We have an exciting and proven program that has been developed over the past 34 years. It features many rich outdoor experiences that are designed to hold the interest both younger and older scouts. These include day trips, camping trips (tent and cabin), canoeing trips, and skiing trips for ages 11-17 as well as backpacking and other high adventure trips for ages 14-17. We typically go on an overnight camping trip about once a month during the school year (September-May). Our scouts are very well-trained and consistently earn top honors in regional and national competitions. We have produced over 80 Eagle Scouts since 1973, a fact which reflects the strength of our program.

Testimonial

(2/6/07)

Hello!

I was here at work and thought I'd take a look and see how my beloved Troop 240 is doing!

Thanks for the pictures, it brought back a lot of great memories. I'm glad to see that some of my past trips are still in practice, such as Camp Hauk and Ockanickon. Excellent!

I moved to Florida in 1987….so that was my final year with the troop. The troop I joined in Florida was in a sad state, and did not compare to the experience I had with you all in Richboro. Thus, sadly, I did not reach Eagle Scout and my journey stopped short at the Life rank. I wish that I had been stronger in mind and spirit at the time, and taken more of a leadership role with that new troop….and instilled some of the values I learned while with Troop 240. You guys are the best! When I tell people of my Boy Scouting days, I always go on and on at how active our troop was.

Well keep the pictures up to date, I'd like to check back once in a while and see how you all are doing.

Never forget the positive impact that 240 has on a young man's life, I never will.
