As a tribute to the Mars Global Surveyor and PathFinder Missions:

The Baby is Dancing on Mars!  (at least those were successful!)

(Yeah, I know...it takes about 3 minutes to load and start really dancing...but I couldn't resist..!)

I've been interested in Astronomy since I received my first telescope (a 3" reflector from Edmund Scientific - a great NJ company!) as a Christmas present when I was about 8 or 9 years old. Even with this small telescope you could easily see the Galilean Moons of Jupiter and the fabulous Rings of Saturn.

We now have a 6" Meade Newtonian Reflector on a German Equatorial mount in the backyard.

We use a shareware program called "SkyGlobe" to keep track of what is happening in the sky. Here are some places were you can check out this great program and download it if you wish:
