Oak Harbor, Ohio
L. J. Lantz
Oak Harbor, O. L. J. Lantz, 90, 222 East Water Street, operator of the Drug Store for 54 years, died in his sleep early Wednesday. He had been in failing health for four years, retiring at the time for health reasons. The store is now operated by his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. (Marguerite) McBain.
Born August 26, 1872 in Helena, he was the son of Emmanuel and Rebecca Moses Lantz. He married Ada Spohn on March 30, 1902 in Morenci, Mich. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary quietly Saturday. Surviving are the widow and daughter, and two grandchildren, Christine and Jack McBain.
The deceased was graduated in 1895 from the Chicago College of Pharmacy. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Businessmen's Association.
Friends may call at the Robinson Funeral Home from 7 p.m. Wednesday until Friday noon when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Gordon L. Groby, pastor, and the Rev. Edwin L. Myers, Medway, Ohio, former pastor, will conduct the rites with burial to be in Union Cemetery. (Anna Belle Fisher)
