Charles Cary "Tex" McDonald played major league baseball with Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds and Buffalo 1912-1915. He played his first major league game on April 11, 1912. For his career he played in 357 games, batting average was 298, HR 13 and RBI 135. In 1913, with the Boston Braves, he earned $2,100 while hitting .359 in 62 games. He moved the the Federal League where he batted .307. Played OF, SS, 2B, 3B.
He was born Charles Cary Crabtree.
