[77] !Death: Obit: The subject of this sketch died at his home in Tell township on Tuesday evening, October 14th, 1902. Deceased had experienced several paralytic strokes and had layn helpless since the 29th of last December. On Tuesday he was striken for the last time, and lived until evening, when he passed peacefully away. Mr. Scott was born in Tell township, near Nossville, Oct. 22, 1828, and spent his whole lifetime of 78 years, 11 months and 22 days in that township. His aged wife preceded him to the grave last March. The following children survive: Walter A., of Blairs Mills; Belle M., wife of J.A. Woods; Albert; Rachel A., wife of T.J. Parsons; A. W. and Elizabeth J. wife of W.R. Gilliland, all of Nossville. Deceased had been a member of the Dunkard church for several years and had shown by his conduct that he was striving to lead a Christian life, and had expressed his willingness to depart and be with Christ. He bore his long illness uncomplainingly, with Christian fortitude. The services were conducted at the home of deceased by Rev. Jacob Kling, an old schoolmate, who gave a touching testimony to the Christian character of the deceased. The services at the church were conducted by Rev. Finney of the Presbyterian church.
