!Biography:1. Michael FETTER died 1789.
Michael Fetter and wife, Katrina, came to America on "Pennsylvania -
Merchant" from Dover, England.
Ship Captain Steadman on September 10, 1731 - six came to Philadelphia.
Michael was a wheelwright. Children: Michael Jr. and Katrina.
By 1736 - a land warrant dated Oct. 26 for 150 acres in Oley,
Philadelphia Co.
Surveyed April 1, 1738. Michael Jr. Another land warrant June 10, 1749 -
25 acres in Alsace Twp. next to his father.
Then to Strasburg - July 10, 1754 sold a parcel moved to Middletown,
June 26, 1754.
Four years later appeared in Bedford Co. Fetters farm 229 acres on
waters of Dunnings Creek near Cessna.
Near farms of George Wisegarver, Hacob Helm, George Sill and Michael
Sill. A mile north of Messiah Church. Michael's daughter Elizabeth
married John Helm, moved west.
In 1776 Michael Fetter bought 189 acres, west of the sight of
Hollidaysburg. Has a grist mill know as Fetter's Mill.
There was also Fetters Fort on high ground near the mill. First one
built in 1777 near the Indian path between Bedford and Hollidaysburg.
Michael was in the militia 1778 - 1779.
Michael married Katrina.
They had the following children:
