George was baptized in Lancaster Co., PA Trinity Lutheran Church.
Debi Faris: George owned a big sorrel horse which he often rode across the
mountain from his home on the North Fork of South Branch of the Potomac River
to what is now Barbour Co. He bought land near Barker's Settlement on the
west side of th Tygart Valley River. This area later became part of the town
of Belington, WV. In 1798 George willed this land to his son Jacob who
settled there.
