| As you know, rotations are required to be submitted by the 25th. This is to make sure
that the rules involving usage are complied with. However, since it may unfairly restrict
those who are in a pennant race and who have their better pitchers still eligible under the usage requirements, we have the following exception: 1) All rotations must be submitted to the statistician as previously done. 2) All computer manager files (including rotations) must be sent to your opposition by the posted deadlines (Sept. 1). 3) Should you wish to change your rotation after that you may do so provided ALL of the following conditions are met: a) the opposing manager has yet to play the relevant games; b) you notify the opposing manager that you wish to change your rotation for the series and he replies that he hasn't played the games and is awaiting your revised rotation; c) you submit your revised rotation to BOTH the statistician and your opposition (the statistician can copy the Executive/Rules Committee if he changes his rotation mid-stream); d) you receive confirmation from the statistician that this change does not violate pitcher-rest requirements; e) your revision does not result in violation of pitcher usage limitations. If all of these conditions are met and once they are all resolved, you need to e-mail the league so that all of the other managers know what's going on. This will presumably help teams in a pennant race to put their best pitchers on the mound when they are most needed. If you have any questions, please contact the Executive/Rules Committee. |
