The club attended the NMRA Arizona Division meet in Tucson, AZ on November 11, 2006. It was
held at the Junior League of Tucson which is an organization of women committed to promoting
voluntarism. Anyway, the NMRA has met there the past few years and from there they conduct
there clinics and other train business. There is also a place in the show where local layout
tour information in Tucson is available. Who ever has a train layout in Tucson is welcome to
hold an open house and show off there layout. Since Tucson Ntrak has no permanent layout, we
cannot hold an open house. Thanks to director Rick Wheeler, he let the club have access to
the Junior Leagues patio for the day. This way we can show off Ntrak right at the show.
The layout design was a U shaped looping module layout. About 16x12 with the new staging in
the middle. We decided to use the whole 12ft staging because it hadn't been used to full
capacity yet. Everything set up in two hours and we were running trains by the time the NMRA
guys figured out how to turn off the alarm system. Crowd response was great, it think it
opened up a lot of eyes to Ntrak and N scale. As far as running went, it was relatively smooth
with no major problems. Staging worked excellent and we sure did fill it. The U shape was
fun, made things less boring toward the end of the day. After all, how many times can you
run in an oval before you lose interest?

NMRA Fall Meet 2005
NMRA Fall Meet was on November 5th, 2005 at the Junior League of Tucson (2099 E. River Rd).
We had a 24 ft Ntrak section, utilizing Stuart's loop modules. The show ran from 9-3pm. Tucson Ntrak
decided to set up at the meeting because we dont have a stationary layout setup, therefore, we would
be a part of the layout tours. So we used for the first time Stuart's turn around modules at each end. This allows for
the layout to be a fully straight line. With these modules, the layout will never need to complete a loop with the modules themselves. In this case
we ran ran the red and yellow lines as a loop and the blue and mountain line as a loop.
