On April 23rd-26th, 2009 Tucson Ntrak participated in the 4th Annual Winslow Railorad Days event. Tucson Ntrak
worked along side Dan Lutzick of the Snowdrift Art Gallery in Winslow, AZ. Lutzick organized the
use of his building and the La Posada Depot for layout space use during the weekend. In the Snowdrift
Tucson Ntrak worked with several clubs from around the area to produce a 4 loop connected Ntrak layout. The clubs
involved were Tucson Ntrak, Southern Nevada Ntrakers (SNNT), Prescott Valley Arizona Ntrak (Larry & Marry Davis),
and Mountain Valley N Scale Group from Prescott, AZ. In the La Posada Depot, which was across the
street there were two groups Sun N Sands from Phoenix and Arizona Model Railroad Society.
The layout in the Snowdrift was set-up around much of the art work displays that could not be moved prior to the event. The layout snaked around exhibits to fill the whole building. Each group was responsible for there own loops and some modules were loaned to fix some of the dimesion issues that occured during set-up. Many of the groups arrived on Thursday April 22nd to set-up and the whole layout was finished by 9pm that day. The Red line was connected to all the loops through the use of bridges, so that trains could run on all of the 76 modules that came to 10 scale miles of track. The red line was powered by Tucson Ntraks 'Brain Box' and was only DCC. Each group was gived freedom to run whatever power they wanted on there blue, yellow and green if the had it. All of the groups except for the Mountain Valley Group ran DCC. Each club constructed a bridge module that would link two loops together. Each club constructed these modules in the year before the show. This year was a sucess and we hope that in 2010 we can continue to meet in Winslow, AZ which is a central meeting spot for all the groups. ALL PHOTOS TAKEN BY DAN LUTZICK of the Snowdrift Art Gallery
