Splat! A Fulldome Short Film

Splat! was a piece created by Patrick Vidal and myself during an internship with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. We also took this film to Domefest in 2007 where it won a Domie award. I contributed around half of the modelling/texturing as well as any effects/simulations, nearly all animation and also assembled/managed the renderfarm. This whole short was rendered to 2K fisheye dome master images, the version seen above is corrected for preview on a monitor, but the full film in a planetarium style dome theatre is a half-sphere of video which surrounds you from all sides.
