Drama or Comedy?
I always enjoy watching Xena and Gabrielle interacting in any kind of way. But I was just wondering, how many people prefer seeing them in dramas with profound, heartfelt dialogue, or in the comedies with their bickering and
play-fighting? Personally, I enjoy the comedies (but also enjoy the occasional heartfelt dialogue - like the final scene of MHR).

I like both. the great dramas with the occasional comedies. The musicals are cool too but i never liked 'Lyre, Lyre...' very much. It's great to be able to see them do such a wide range of emotions and know how talented our two favorite really ladies are!

I think they've struck a good balance. Just about the time things get too heavy they throw something like Married with Fish Sticks at us. You gotta love a show that can make you cry with laughter and sorrow.

I agree ,they,ve given us a pretty nice balance over the years.Things got really deep with that whole "land of the dead" thing back then...they needed a change of pace ESPECIALLY at THAT point I thought! The eps were getting very dark in the HOPE days. I really enjoy both comedy and drama. Some have been great and some stinkers on both accounts. But when done to the quality of Debt 1 & 2,When Fates Collide,or Destiny etc. on the dramatic side,GRRRREAT!!...and ADITL,FFG,BTDT,or the furies...Then I love the comedies too!!

Hi I'm new here...love the board!...I've watched the show since the middle of season two. I personally like the dramas the best although a few of the comedys have been ok. Nothing like a little subtext to make the story line exciting, and a little comedy on a PMS day doesnt hurt either... : PpPp

Well I love both. But I truly enjoy the comedic ones. They are so adorable together. Loved BTDT, and MHR. They seems so at ease with one another, so happy in the comedies.

Well, I think both are great; but I would have to say the drama's are the best. Even though tragic things happen they only seem to grow stronger in their love for each other. I mean the comedies show us how they goof off and love each other, but when something happens I think it portrays their characters as @ss kicking women who still have love for on another despite the situations!!!!!!!!

always,

Welcome PekinDragon!

I'm glad they give us both. We all have both in our own lives. When I want to watch tapes, I'll usually choose a drama when I'm alone, and a comedy when I'm with others.

Give me either. It does'nt matter, drama or comedy,as long as there are good fight scenes and the girls are close.I think it's a good change of pace to put in a comedy after a few dramatic eps.

It's those heartfelt dialogues that I like: "For me our friendship binds us closer than blood ever could", "Even in death, Gabrielle, I will never leave you", "Know that my love for you is endless", "You've given my life joy and meaning, and you'll be a part of me forever". Aw...:)

Re: Drama or Comedy?
Minya, what a romantic!!!!!!!! I can relate. I just love the comedies. But if the girls were not soulfully connected the comedies would not be so delightful. So I guess I am with one of those posts that says a comedy thrown in after a few heavy dramas work well.

Re: Drama or Comedy?
I prefer the dramas, but enjoy a lot the comedies (mostly the "classic" ones, like "A Day in the Life" and "Been There Done That"... In fact, I love both. Put a good story with subtext, and I don't mind if it's drama or comedy!

Re: Drama or Comedy?
I love both, but thinking of my favourite episodes most seem to be drama ones, so I guess I'll have to say that. But I do love the comedies :)
