Lucy and the FIN

While I'm waiting for my FIN DVD to come, i take some time to
download the FIN comment clip at "Xena 2010" site (has great video
and audio clips of the show and Lucy interviews - if anyone wants

Any
way.... I'm one of the minority that love the FIN episodes, and
after hearing the comments my appreciation for the show, actors,
directors, stunts and crew had rise a lot. The conditions that this
people when trought during those couple of weeks to deliver a show
that should be on the big screen (that usually take months of
filming). It was amazing! And is sad that people banish this people
and everything they did, during 6 long years, just because they
didn't like the ending or they didn't see what they
wanted.
Another thing that i loved, was the fact that Lucy
wasn't shy in praising the secondary actors, even the ones that
didn't have a line, the stun people, her doubles, the lighting crew,
the way she try to remember his or her name. And she wasn't shy in
criticise her own acting, there isn't many actress that go and say
that their performance in a given scene was the worse in the entire
show, that never a performance was so badly done.
I love the
interaction between the three of them, The way they talk about not
just the acting but the technical stuff and the music.
well,
i really Love this guys, and would Love to see them working together
in a near future.

I have the DVD and it looks great and I agree with you. I liked it
a lot. I also enjoyed the commentary of Lucy,ROC and Rob. I liked
how all three had differing opinions on the same scene. It shows the
diversity that exists with actors and directors. I like how it
doesn't matter how you approach a scene but that the scene gets
completed and everyone is pleased most of the time. It shows the
great thing about everyone being different.

I agree also, well said. And I truly believe there is a "rather
large silent" minority - if that makes sense.

I don't think there are many who FIN
ruined the whole six year for. Who are you referring
to?

I didn't say that there were many people, i say
there were people that let the end of the show affect the way they
see the 6 years of the show, even going to the point to banishs
previous work of Rob. Now...i didn't say either that this people
were from this board (even if my memorie isn't plaing any tricks
some of the coments were made in this board, not sure tru) and even
if they are, those post are way back (some of them from when the
Show ended, so i can't recite names, if that's what you want, and
even if i knew, i wouldn't say them, the people who feel that way,
know who they are, and even if i think that's unffair with the Xena
crew and cast, this people are intitle of their opinions, the some
way i'm intitle of mine.

I agree with the orginal poster that after watching the behind the
scenes video I am completely in awe of the hard work and dedication
everyone connected with Xena showed in order to produce just one
episode,and they did that for six years.Lucy and Renee both have my
respect and admiration.There are still a few that post in the
General Chat that dislike Lucy and expecially Rob for what they see
as a betrayal of the 'fans'and characters and the series in general
even from an early season but that is their right to do so,the
message boards are for all.However what I would say is whether you
loved it or hated it the ending in Fin was dramatic and it is still
being talked about a year after Xena wrapped.For a show that was not
on the main networks in America that is quite a feat. Are the
endings of Voyger(sp) and hercules still discussed?

I havent been too silent in my many compliments to the wonderful
and yes, big screen production of FIN. Equally I think you're very
correct on Lucy being ever so expanded and complimenting the
smallest of actors/actresses roles and all those having part to work
on the series over the years. I always think of something Michael
Hurst complimented by saying someone might just deliver icecream for
everyone on the set and you'd know it was Lucy. He sum'd up her
thinking of others very well in an interview I saw of him once and
of course, Lucy always represents herself well indeed.

IreneRenee,if you ever visit the fightclub I am afraid you will
find many who dislike Fin and Rob quite vehmently,it is a heated
discussion and it is probably best that the post are kept there.I
personally do not believe that the majority of those that followed
Xena are so disgusted with Fin, maybe it was not how they envisaged
the ending but they still have respect and admiration for the cast
and crew who worked extremly hard to bring us this unique piece of
television.IMHO those that have a positive view of Xena are the
silent majority and those that had a dislike of Fin and Rob are the
vocal minority,again I stress this is just my opinion.
