OT: Oh Briar, wherefore art
thou?
Hi all,
I'm hoping Briar will come on here and
talk
with all of us
who know her, she's fighting a real
battle
again and I would
like her to know those who care for
her are
thinking about
her.
That was posted from
battleon. Our first Briar's
postthread on this forum. We
originally kept a post like
this at the old Xena board.
Briar is a special person in our lives and we continue
to
keep this post up because she is battling cancer.
By
keeping this post up, we give her hope and
courage.
Again, I thank all you who kept this post up and I
want
to thank those who did not know Briar, but are helping
to
keep this thread going..

to start a new thread. I'm glad you're keeping this thing going for
her. It's important to me to keep in touch with her and know how

Thanks for the new thread girls. I really appreciate it. Today I go
to the Cancer Center for blood work, a shot, and to pick up the
latest reports. Then I make a trip out to Niantic to see Dr. G. I
have to take her all of the reports and get her opinion on them. I'm
sure that she will agree with Dr. H. He's the Oncologist on my case,
she is the Primary Care Physician. I love them both. I am hoping
above hope that the new Chemo starts shrinking the tunors. The very
fact that I can't take them full strength makes it difficult. Only
the first Chemo has worked as it should. The others have been too
weak to do the job.
I am considering asking the Doctor to
increase the dose next week. Maybe it will help without making
things too difficult. The major side effect is itching. If it works
it will be worth a little more itching. It could extend my life by
quite a bit. Anyway, I'm hanging in there, and will fight to the
bitter end. Take care all.

It's great you are doing this. I was off the net for six
months and there was no way I could keep up.
Briar, you keep
going girl. I know it is tough but you are such a fighter. I'm
pulling for you, and I will keep dropping in from time to time to
see how you are doing. I hope your day goes really well and that you
get good news.
