 ROC Hounds Unite
Alright you ROC hounds, fess up.
What is it about her that captured your heart?

Her cute smile?
Outstanding acting?
Passion for privacy?
Her chemistry with the lovely LL?
The lively breath she has given to Gabrielle's character?
Or that nicely toned body?

 Re: ROC Hounds Unite

I agree with all those reasons.
She always reminded me of 'the girl next door'. I have a feeling that only her good friends really know what she's really like - she guards her privacy so much and we've only ever gotten to see her 'public' persona. (people say she's the same way in person, but I have a feeling she's a bit wilder and more of a hellion :evil than we're led to believe ;) )

 Re: Oh...
I love everything about Gabby. I love the growth I've seen in her over the course of the series, and the depth with which ROC has played this character. I love her chemisty with LL, and I think LL does a fantastic job or portraying Xena as well. I'm going to miss Xena when it's over. Does anybody have any news at all on ROC's next gig? Does she have anything lined up after Xena?

 Re: ROC Hounds Unite

Just a reminder for all you ROCaphiles -

If you get CourtTV, *don't miss* the Rockford Files movie
tonight at 9pm Eastern / 8pm Central!! You won't regret it :rollin
(it also repeats at 2pm/1pm tomorrow)
She made this just a few months before starting on X:WP, and every
time I watch her in this I see hints of the brash, young, Season 1
Gabrielle.

I'd have to agree about the growth. Both the actress and the character. There is definitely chemistry between ROC and LL and it spills over on to the screen. Which makes for a successful mixing of emotions. Afterall, isn't Gabrielle the friend we all search for? And the ABS ain't too shabby either...wooohooo!!

All of the above qualities of ROC fascinate me,that smile,
her acting talent, that body...um, what was the question? Oh
yeah, I just saw The Rockford Files and ROC was GOOD in it.
That was years ago and she had lots of talent then too. She showed the same spunk and energy that She has carried over to Gabby. :)
No details of ROC's plans after Xena, but I read that she would like to continue acting, directing and to start a family. Not necessarily in that order. I hope she keeps acting so we can watch her in her future projects. :D

I have to admit,I,m on foreign ground here somewhat....(I,m totally LUCI-FIED) but I WOULD like to say that I think ROC is great as Gabby.I,ve enjoyed her alot on the show. She seems like such a sweet person. No wonder Lucy calls her a TRUE friend! She would be someone anybody would like to call a friend.Very bubbly, outgoing, just a sweetheart.

thats my story and I,m sticking to it!!

 Re: ROC Hounds Unite
The character of Gabrielle is just such a lovable person that there is little doubt in my mind that the woman who so convincingly portrays her must be similar. Her expressions, her voice, her body, her poise, her optimism, and her quest are all attractive to me. She is the epitome of cuteness. There is no wonder that such a warm and loving individual was able to completely reform Xena. Gab also has the ability to make people who have barely seen her fall in love with her (Brunhilda and Beowulf). There has been a recent Gab pic on AXIP constructed from Sins of the Past titled "The Dreamer" (or something similar) that captures her essence beautifully.

And somehow, by reading about Renee, you can feel that you know her; she chose to graduate with her friends at Taylor High School in 1989 (instead of at a Houston drama school, I believe). I wish I had had the opportunity to grow up with her as my friend when I was a child.

 Re: ROC Hounds Unite
it was the way she made me fall in love with Gabrielle during season 1. A woman who can make me (and lots of others, I'm sure) fall in love with a fictional character has got to be special! :)

 Re: ROC Hounds Unite
Well, I've gotta add my two cents worth to this. I think Renee is awesome! She has matured into a great actress on Xena, WP. But I've gotta admit, I wonder if she really is planning on staying in the acting business. She doesn't act like other actresses who always keep their name in the limelight, for example, like Lucy Lawless. And she hasn't done anything other than Xena, WP. No guest appearances anywhere, no talk shows, no nothing. And no, that movie she made that's never been released doesn't count for that very reason, it's never made it to the public. So, what gives? Is she planning on hanging it up after Xena?

I most certainly hope not.
